We found Le Cucina at the end of the day when we had just started to talk about where we would eat in the evening. A warm welcome with the presentation of the menu made us feel at home immediately. The meal was excellent as was the service accompanied by a nice conversation with the waiter. We will certainly revisit on our next trip to Salzburg. What User doesn't like about La Cucina:
We waited 45 minutes to get ours starters (basically a salat and carpaccio) and then again 45 minutes to get the main courses (pizza and spaghetti bolognese).When the food finally arrived it was tasteless and really disappointing. Good selection of Italian and local dishes and wine. Warm reception in front of the house, and very good English spoken if you do not order in German. The food was well presented and delicious. Nice to visit again next time in Salzburg.
After 1,5 hours we had still only seen the starter and we were becoming restless. The veal carpaccio and pizza salami were both pretty tasteless and uninspiring. The only good thing I can say is that the decor is nice.
We went for something to eat in this restaurant on a rainy night in Salzburg. The restaurant inside was empty apart from three other tables but we were ushered to the furthest corner of the restaurant. . . perhaps because my husband was wearing cargo...shorts although there was nobody who was that well dressed in the place! There were four of us but we were seated at a table for 8, which was quite disconcerting. The waitress was very nice but there was a waiter who seemed to be rather upset by our presence and he just seemed gruff and unwelcoming. The food itself was nice enough but I would certainly not be returning to this place in a hurry. In fact, it's the first time in a very very very long time that I have not felt compelled to leave a tip!
We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, the food was delicious and homely, and atmosphere was great.
Food, ambience and service were all good, very inexpensive for the quality. Pizza is v good. We were pleaSantly surprised.
