Kohlmayr"s Gaisbergspitz - Salzburg

Great place to spend a nice evening and watch the sunset. I think it would also be great during the day as well as see the city below. The best place to sit are the picnic tables outside, although they have inside seat as... good. We were not prepared for the temperature difference and were very happy that they had blankets. Good Austrian pub food plus a few nice varieties. Some of us had the deer (Venison) Stew who was beautiful. They have 2 sizes for most dishes that are perfect. Make sure to look right at the restaurant where you can watch the paraglider's departure.

Not a bad place on the top of Gaisberg, but on holidays it is quite busy and both kitchen and waiters seem to fight to serve large numbers of visitors. Here you can taste some famous Austrian dishes. I would strongly recommend trying here... Kaiserschmarrn, it is really awesome at Kohlmayr, but remember that the part is quite large, so it is a desert for two.

Schöner Ort, nicht ganz oben. Altes Gebäude, moderat renoviert. Gutes Essen, nette Leute. Kasnocken in verschiedenen Varianten, tolle Idee, lecker geschmeckt!

Direkt auf der Spitze des Gaisbergs. Super leckeres Essen und tolles Service! Und ganz gleich ob Sommer oder Winter, wir werden auch in Zukunft gerne zu euch kommen, herzlichst Stefan Schmidt
