We were very happy with this hotel. Our room was nice, the breakfast was very good with a great selection of food. We wanted to be a short walk from the train station. The only negative was that there wasn't an elevator which made it difficult for carrying our heavy suitcases up the stairs. View all feedback.

Food was great, service was excellent but proximity of smoking facility permeated all building with nasty smell of recycled smoke. Too bad, because chef and staff try hard.
The food here and the service was great. Waiters spoke English and made great suggestions. It's a little off the beaten path but well worth the walk. About 10 min from the train station and 30 min walk from old town. Austrian food is what...they do and I'd say the are a 4 star place with a 3 star price. Not cheap but not over the top.
I stayed in Salzburg, at the Itzlinger, for six days. Ate out four, in house twice, and the best peals I consumed we 're at Itzlinger. I tried sauerbraten thrice during my journey through Austria and Germany, theirs was the best. I recommend ordering the nights...specialty, whatever it is... bound to be special indeed. Anyone can cook a piece of meat, but the head chef at Itzy knows how to prepare a sauce. Just remember to request brot 'cause you 'll want to soak up the sauce. Guten Apetit!
This is the best hotel we stayed in in our travels from Edinburgh to Florence. The service, the food (both breakfast and restaurant). They took such good care of us-we felt we were staying at someone's house as a guest. Only place I would ever...stay in Salzburg! It feels like a house, not a hotel. Love it!!!
I booked a triple room (3 beds) on the 1st floor, beacuse my mother is not able to climb up stairs. when we arrived at the hotel they had not find our reservation,so it was managed to checkin us on a different room. the room was a double bed with a couch on the 3th floor, without elevator.as we were SO exhausted to be on the road and the room was already 100% paid online, the only choice was to stay. my mother took 15min to climb up to the 3th floor room, as she has a knee problem. The check-out was the most traumatic experience ever for me. Because the staff was very unpolite and very agressive speaking, shouting at me that we couldn't leave the hotel without paying. I was TRYING to show him the online payment confirmation but he didn't listen to me and kept screaming repeatedly "GIVE ME YOUR CREDIT CARD, GIVE ME YOUR CREDIT CARD, GIVE ME YOUR CREDIT CARD".in the end we were shocked and very embarrassed about the whole situation and the way they treated us.in my opinion this staff is not prepared to handle and solve any problems with guests.
