Grunauer Hof - Salzburg

We were here 4-5 years ago and we decided to come back and initiate our holiday in this great place. It is still a really good and typical Austrian restaurant with really big portions and really good service. We enjoyed our visit here again and... will be happy to come back to the future.

We passed this very lively restaurant/hotel in the quiet residential village of Walz on the way to our hotel. We were lucky to come and had a great meal.

This is a large restaurant with some different rooms. The staff seems well trained, and we enjoyed our food both times we visited, but note that it is not a “romantic” culinary experience when that is what you are looking for.

A beautiful restaurant, which is highly favoured by the locals. It does get busy but there are plenty of seats inside and outside. The restaurant (and hotel) has been run by the same family for many years; and they take pride in their wonderful fresh...food and presentation. There is a large menu to choose from, the dishes are huge and the quality is exceptional. The side salads are a meal in themselves. Fairly close to Salzburg and well worth the drive.

Very nice retaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The menu was big and offered something for everybody and everything we tried was excellent
