The food is unpretentious, simple, pretty close to the real things and definitely fills up your tummy, leave no dents in your wallet and puts a smile on a curry lover's face. View all feedback.
What Miriam Schüpbach doesn't like about COCO:
The staff member who helped us was extremely accommodating and explained the various entrees to us. Unfortunately, the portions were on the small side and the food lacked the richness of flavor that we have come to expect from other Sri Lankan and Indian restaurants. The location near the Mirabellplatz was convenient but I am sure there are better restaurants of the same genre in the area. View all feedback.
Probably the biggest surprise during my visit in Salzburg. This small restaurant is located in a shopping mall. I was really hungry when I got there but I didn’t know what to expect. A lot of options of Indian and Sri Lanka dishes.I ordered a chicken curry. It was the best curry I have ever tasted! Excellent. Portion was really good and it was really enough to satisfy my hunger. With a bottle of ice tea I paid 10.30. I think it’s reasonable price. If you visit Elisabethstraße, try it.
Visited this place on a friends recommendation. The food is authentic and and spices and herbs used was specially brought down from Sri Lanka. The service was excellent. A big thank you to Akalanka, his wife and the Chef. Good FOOD Good SERVICE!!
Coco was a nice experience at lunchtime in Salzburg when we were almost going to go for Subway. They had great dal curries, soup and rice combinations. Seating was quite modern and didnt feel weird even for a shopping mall kind of place in which Coco is located. The person making the food gave us great recommendations on what to go for, level of spices. They have various condiments and spices that they can add on top to adjust the spice level. Portion sizes were great (a little costly, but then Salzburg was costly overall).
We had a good breakfast here. It’s a little pricey but, given the rest of the prices in Salzburg, it’s on par.
We for longing for a good rice and curry after travelling across Europe and glad that we found this eatery. It is clean and serves Sri Lankan food appropriately odified for local palate. Had a good chat with the young owner Akalanka who had got the chef directly from Sri Lanka to ensure that the food was professionally and authenticialy prepared. Overall the food was excellent for what we paid.
