It was an unexpect... read more Discovering the Perfect Day Out in Valais!!! My recent visit to Marecottes Zoo left me thoroughly impressed and eager to share my experience. It was an unexpected delight to stumble upon such a gem of a destination for a day out with family and friends. From the moment I stepped foot in the zoo, it was evident that the animals were well taken care of and content in their habitats and being able to feed some of them made the experience even more memorable. As the summer heat approaches there is a huge swimming pool it’s a fantastic addition to this place allowing visitors to cool off while surrounded by the beauty of Nature. But what truly made our day was the cheerful and casual demeanour of the staff. Their warmth and approachability made me feel right at home, adding to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the visit. It's the kind of place you want to return to again and again—a true go-to destination for a day of fun and relaxation. To my surprise, I learned that a hotel is in the works, I can’t wait to try it out for a longer stay next time. The Marecottes Zoo and its restaurant a place I stumbled upon by chance but I can't wait to return and immerse myself in its charm once again this summer. I highly recommend if you are a nature lover.

The magnificent swimming pool is accessible with the entrance fee, don't forget the swimsuits, it's worth it! Very easy access on foot from the station
