I parked right in front of this charming historic store. After I shared some photos, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a thank you from them the very next day. We’re definitely looking forward to returning to Saluda in the near future!

Established in 1890, it holds the title of the oldest grocery store in North Carolina. Stepping into Thompson's feels like taking a trip back in time, thanks to its nostalgic atmosphere and variety of traditional products. In addition to the historic ambiance, the store features an excellent selection of gourmet items, including wine, beer, cheese, a meat market, and fresh produce sourced from local farms.

I purchased sausage yesterday after asking the man who made it 50 questions . Lol I told him I knew by an answer that it was going to be good . I also told him he will hear from me . The BEST SAUSAGE !!
