This place is a very honest and typical parillia in Salta. If you like chichi and things that are not really needed as this place could not be the right side for you. If you want to have honest, good and traditional food far... from tourist places you will love it! The steak was medium as we ordered, the pommes were good and desert (fla caramel) was great! The only one was the house wine that wasn't really our taste. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Parrillada Los Gauchos:
we ordered an especiala, which is a special parrilla and the most expensive thing on the menu and we got the worst meat, 1/3 consisted of organ meat (heart, liver, some other disgusting stuff), the rest was extremely fat, bife de chorizo was 50% fat just hanging on the bone. On top of that stray dogs are always present next to your table, barking and begging for food. best thing is that even the stray dog didnt want... View all feedback.
We decided to try lunch here as it was packed with locals and their families all of whom seemed to be eating the parrillada. There are lots of different options on the menu but this isn't the sort of place where delicate slices of fillet steak are going to be served up so if you are looking for pricey cuts of meat, go elsewhere. I asked about the price difference between the two parrilladas listed - the pricier one comes with loads of meat (pork and beef), sausages, black pudding, and offal all griddled. The cheaper option comes minus the offal. There is more than enough here for 2 big meat eaters and includes a salad and some empanadas. I really enjoyed the food, simple well cooked and tasty. Even better was the bill at the end of the meal - 250 pesos including drinks. Bargain!By the way, the feral dogs are great company; non-threatening and friendly. They'll happily finish off what you don't eat but don't touch them as they're probably covered in fleas!

We ordered an especiala that is a special parrilla and the most expensive thing on the menu and we have the worst meat, 1/3 consisted of organ meat (heart, liver, some other egusting stuff), the rest was extremely fat, Bife de chorizo was 50% fat... simply hanging on the bone. In addition, strategic dogs are always present next to your table, bark and beg for food. The best thing is that even the mutilated dog did not want to eat the meat, see a picture.
