Zao Asian Cafe - Salt Lake City

We enjoyed here as a family dinner. good variety on the menu. efficient service. I had a steak dish with sweet soy sauce and it was great. I would definitely return.

Fantastic eating! simple Asian menu, fresh made to use a few different option as it is served. great aromas in the food. I wish they were in other states.

Banh mi sandwich. amazing! this is not a subway where it is a rough squashed looking sandwich, this ding is packed with fresh taste. that's like the flesh with huh and everything on it. I love it apr, ummm, this is amazing!. determined to try somewhere new for fun while I was in salt lake, I am so glad that I chose zao asian cafe coming! the banh mi sand I had was amazing! will definitely come back here!

That's amazing. this place is really good, but if they have a sensibility to msg and they ask them if they have it in there food - the if they use any prefabricated sauces, it is very likely that it has in it...and they say they have absolutely no msg in there food, so they order a runway mi and dedicate it only to an angry headache and spazines feeling immediately after. let's just say I'll go back there. I'd rather have my own path mi and no headaches.

Fun, Friendly, Delicious. A friend posted a picture of this place on instagram and I new I had to make a trip here ASAP. And it did not disappoint. I love the style of things- the Chipotle style ordering where you can build your meal by choosing the type of dish, the meat (or tofu) and what add-ins you would like. We've had the banh mi with meatballs, steak tacos, and chicken noodle bowl. All are delicious, but my personal favorite is the banh mi with meatballs. Those meatballs are AMAZING.
