This tea place is super cute perfect place for a casual date/meet up. It has a calming Thai meditation vibe that would make you want to stay for hours. I would recommend staying away from ordering a boba and order genuine tea products here though. Unfortunately their boba is just not really my cup of tea… View all feedback.
What Dolly Sipes doesn't like about Tea Grotto:
I had to travel from Nevada to pick up a family member from the airport and had just a little time to make a stop. Laird was awesome! I can’t say enough about his enthusiasm and obvious passion for what he does. He was very informative, thorough, and extremely patient with the many questions I asked. The tea-grass is that picturesque, cen, paradies that they want when they are their cup tee. I searched the city and found that the teegrotte is the best teehouse.
To portland for salt lake. it is a great jump from lipton to the amazing cheap and pretty good loose leaf ahmad barooti assam, available in my local Persian store, that is my standard breakfast tee. I enjoy now and then also a good green tea. my tea snobbery does not extend, but if they do, they should appreciate the tea bread. it looks like the real thing for me, but I think the space is to portland for salt lake. it is a conceptual space instead of a cozy space. a table for two is close to the beginning and has both sitting opposite the window that is not very social. there is a tee cave that has about six seats. it looks cool, but in practice it is crampy, stiff padded and...read more
I think I'm in love. tea grotto offers so many different tea selection I didn't know what to choose from green, white, black tea. they also offer coffee and sandwiches.
Quality at a Price.. Until recently I used tea bags for all of my tea. Two weeks ago I purchased whole leaf tea from the Tea Grotto The difference in flavor was as dramatic as it was rewarding. The cost for 40gram of tea in bags was comparable to 50grams of loose tea. I kept track and got almost twice the number of cups of tea from the loose leaf as from the tea in bags. It isn't often that you can get Quality at a lower price. Enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable, Quality and Value at a lower price.
