as from new orleans we had to try this new restaurant after salt lake. neutral floor has not disappointed. the food was seasoned. the best, seasoned Cajun life we had in salt lake. the ambiente was impeccable. bonus was live music. the weight staff was incredible, especially given the years after covid. if they were short-time, I didn't notice. What User doesn't like about Neutral Ground:
Eat was terrible! for this cajun and creole restaurant, the taste and the flavor is not present. the prices are for food that is polluted and could probably be created better in a chain restaurant. this device will not last. View all feedback.
Excellent blend of authentic Creole dishes and Fusion mashups. Red Beans Cajun Pasta are Classic favorites. Their take on Pork Loin and Surf Turf is phenomenal.
The only food item that was excellent was the cornbread, out of waygu steaks so I had to settle for a quarter inch razor thin low quality steak. Overall, not a good place to eat, service was good however food was subpar. Also, soda pop out of a can, a little strange at a dinning place.
Great place to meet friends for a drink but if you’re looking for authentic Southern food give it a miss.
Absolutely amazing dining experience! Truly, a hidden gem SLC. Great food but Mac-n-cheese and alligator tacos were exceptional!! The live music and our host/server, Steven, made the experience even better! Highly, highly recommend!!!
This is not true Cajun food. When we asked for tobasco to add to our gumbo, the waiter said they didn't have tobasco but there was some other kind of hot sauce. What Cajun restaurant doesn't have tobacco sauce? The catfish and mac'n'cheese was flavorless. And the breading on the catfish was soggy. We got the alligators nachos as well and they were medicore. The salsa that came with it had no flavor whatsoever. It wasn't sweet, savory, or spicy at all. The beignets were not true Louisiana beignets. Instead they were tiny, a little crunchy on the outside and almost hollow on the inside, and it seemed like maybe they were baked instead of fried. The only saving grace was the red beans and rice appetizer. That actually had some flavor. Most of all the food was overpriced for what you get. The service was fine but nothing special. We do not recommend Neutral Ground. Perhaps we chould have lowered our expectations. Afterall this is Utah and not the deep South.
