I am very disappointed in my experience ordering takeout at Kyoto. I order frequently. I went to pick up my food and the front of house staff was rude and inattentive. They helped multiple people who arrived after me, and even after I asked for an update on my order, just walked away. They were over-staffed. I am sad to leave this review because we have had so many good experiences at the Kyoto in the past. I almost wonder if we did something to offend the server. When my husband asked for diet coke, she brought him coke, and then didn't refill it once. She recommended the Saba (mackerel), explaining that it was fresh, but it was very much not fresh. I took two fishy-tasting bites (with bones in them) before I knew I couldn't eat it. My husband and I traded meals. He ordered the Yose Nabe. The … – show

Place is dirty! Carpet and booths are old and dirty. Ordered gyosa which was burnt! Mars roll was cold and tasted like it was made yesterday! The shrimp in side were over cooked and cold. Ordered Baked green mussels which were cold also. Waitress asked us to leave after 2 glasses of wine, 1 roll, 2 appetizer. She had other reservations. Wont be back after years of going there!

Exceptional cuisine. Excellent service. Highly recommend!
