Bruges is literally one of my favorite places ever. I have never had a better Belgian waffle in my life, and it gets even better with the torpedo style! Bruges has had their fries rated as some of the best in Utah, and I still think their fries are the best you are going to find. Plus their dipping sauces are soooo delicious. Their menu items aren't the cheapest for how much food you get, but the quality of the food... View all feedback.
What David Iannucci doesn't like about Bruges Belgian Bistro:
The place is a bit of a dump with very few tables, unless you eat outside. The fries are great, but the fry sauces are mediocre. They could really use a Belgian style traditional mayonnaise. The waffles are super sweet with granulated sugar crystals throughout, but if you like that, they're fine. The rest of the menu is a joke.Food: 3/5 View all feedback.
This place is solidly OK. The okayest waffle place in town.We went for breakfast. I got a croque monsieur with frites and a side (fry sauce because it’s Utah, baby!)The bread was cheap white bread and the melted cheese on top wasn’t very melted or delicious. It was pretty basic for the price. I really liked their frites though. The waffle (got the Favorite added Nutella and bananas) was better than the sandwiches but also pretty hard. In fact, I’ve never had a waffle here that wasn’t tough AF. I personally like a soft waffle. The toppings were fresh and lovely: a generous helping of Nutella with strawberries and bananas. They make their own whipped cream by hand (not out of a can) and it was yummy. We ate on the porch outside which was nice. The south side of the seating was not great: a homeless man and his dog were lying under a bench and while they should have a space to chill, it also smelled like urine.
Love this place. My pretty wife had a breakfast waffle with they’re sausage link which are delicious I had the rhapsody waffle crème fresh and Belgian chocolate with raspberries so tasty. A bit difficult to get to construction going on. But worth the effort. Please visit they could use the businessFood: 5/5

Overall a great experience. We got the chicken and waffles, Cinnamonster, and fires with fry sauce. All the food was tasty, and the fries were some of the best I had in a while. Service was good, and food came out about 10-15 minutes after we ordered (they were quite busy when we came, so it wasn't too bad). There is hardly any parking (even when Highland Dr isn't closed down for construction), so be prepared to walk.
Bruges is an incredible, European restaurant here in Salt Lake. I’ve been eating Pierre’s strawberry topped waffles for about 2 decades. I’ve known him since he started at the farmers market. These are the best waffles and frites I’ve ever had. My whole family loves this place.
