Make reservations and don't let the cool bar fool you. Tell the bartender that you have reservations, and he will open the door to a staircase to open doors to a beautiful bar and stands to the right. Very cabin esq. But chic, food was amazing. They always say not to judge a book by its cover. After all, appearances can be deceiving. Which is exactly the point of The Bodega , the new beer tavern and convenience store on Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City. There is much, much more than meets the eye. Service ever. worst people? the way to build a customer strain is not to treat their clientele as inferior. this place personalizes the holier as you cool childcare, which I fortunately left in the high school. throw them up. awful, never go back and tell everyone I do the same.
High cheap ingredients. the deep friteuse works overtime in bodega, where cheap ingredients such as wobble, kartoffeln, flour and rice in an overpriced menu. even the excellent service could not bring me back here
Go for the cocktails. love the cocktails here. caleb makes an amazing job and I know that it's trendy to have great cocktails, but that doesn't mean they're good. eating is o.k the reuben sandwich is very, very good. the hobby fish I had. I didn't love it being served in aluminum foil, but I'm a bit priss. I was not sure that this is easy, especially because the reservation system was a bit cheesy for my taste, but I really liked the atmosphere at bodega. If you can go when they have live music. it feels like another world. they make a nightly temperate (we had pbj) don't go until they had one!
What a great experience. some other posters have explained that it is a bit hipster. they are not mistaken. my comment to my wife was that this place is hipster overload, but not bad. we have given the reservation as a gift, and what a gift. When we arrived there, we were brought up into the small bar area, as we were a little early. we got our key. when you get down, you'll be hit by the moose head mount of the bullen. when we went to the rest, we met with a dark, warm, great smell speakeasy. we were brought to our table and given the drink and feed card. there is a very large selection of beer, weep, dishes and cocktails. the animals are described and with the alcohol...read more
Nothing to write home about. I did like the atmosphere but the food was over priced and did not impress. We went for dinner with a large group and 2 of the entrees did not come out for 15 minutes after the rest.
