The restaurant offers an abundance of flavor in every dish. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. My favorites were the black beans, slaw, and jackfruit. The wood fired rolls and cinnamon bun were absolutely amazing. (Updated review as of May 23, 2023) View all feedback.
The backyard of Blatch BBQ is great! It is usually hard to find vegan BBQ at all, let alone these good. My wife and I tried the Jackfruit with raspberries and BBQ sauces, black beans and wood fired reels. Everything was better than expected and the portion sizes were great for the price. The Jackfruit was also really good, like leftovers the next day! We can't wait to get it back.

It’s about a 45 minute drive for me to get to Blatch’s but it’s worth it and I keep coming back. Highly recommend going Fridays and getting the VBQ platter!
I need to take a moment to say that Blatch’s Vegan BBQ deserves every ounce of the praise it receives. Not only is the grub phenomenal Honestly the best I've ever had and I've been a plant based chef in dozens of different restaurants, industrial kitchens and catering companies over the past 10 years. but he also happens to be one of the most compassionate, genuine individuals I've ever had the joy of meeting. If you're lucky enough to have had the pleasure of Chris welcoming you into his home/kitchen for a meal do him and the world a favor and write a review! Not that he NEEDS your help in that regard however, the food speaks for itself ; On top of all this, everything is 100% vegan, cruelty free and crafted with such delicate care you can taste it in every bite. So far I've only had the pleasure of trying the Pretzel Monster with his V-brisket as the protein and I could honestly die happy if it were to be my breakfast, lunch and dinner for the remaining duration of my time on this planet. If you are vegan anywhere in Utah and haven't tried one of Chris' masterpieces you are yet to live. He has a huge selection of his own hot sauces made from scratch and a huge selection of his menu items are available in a to-go freezer right next to the counter Do yourself and the animals a favor and get in here ASAP, I'll bet anything you won't regret it. Chris, his establishment and creations are absolutely legendary and a gem of Utah's vegan scene. Get this stuff in your gullet pronto! Updated from previous review on 2023-08-01
Seriously the best, we love coming to this spot and trying all of the beautiful creations. Won best bbq in slc even amongst the carnivores! Worth the wait everytime. Hot sauces, rolls, featured items, amazing bbq. We love blatches!
