What Emmanuelle Monnier doesn't like about Domaine La Marche:
We arrived at 13.40 looking forward to lunch. The menu and venue looked inviting. The website said it was open until 16.00 and that reservations were advised which is not the same as essential. There were less than 10 people eating and it was a...Monday in early May. We were amazed to be told that there was no food and we were turned away before we were asked what we wanted. We asked for a snack- the bread looked goo... View all feedback.
We found this place when we visited the Castel nearby. They had a set menu of chicken meat and bone marrow. The main course was mined meat with parmesan. Very delicious. Local Rose vine and house made dessert cooked by pear in vine vine... with cream. This restaurant is very renovated.
Perfect location. Chef Bo and Bea make you feel very welcome. The food and service are excellent. They have a limited seating so booking is preferred if you do not want to miss out. Loved the imaginative menu and the freshly baked breads. The donuts...were to die for. You never have the same thing twice. Highly recommended. Best value for money and you also get to taste local wines from the domain La Marche.
Inventive, modern and tasteful cuisine; local products starting with wine, passing through garden vegetables and bread with homemade leaven! all was succulent from beginning to end!
After visiting the fabulous fortress of Salses le Chateau we sought out Domaine la Marche for lunch after reading some great reviews on it. Everything was just perfect beautiful fresh produce , home made bread and dips , great mix of courses , lovely...couple running their restaurant and of course their own excellent wine we had the chardonnay . The restaurant is a very relaxed atmosphere and we could have bedded ourselves down here for quite some time had we not have to get the train back to Narbonne. It was our last day in France before heading back to Australia and it could not have been better what a way to end up our holiday. This was up there amongst our best dining experiences in France. Thank you Bo and Bea and all the best with your adventure.
Sorry Ronny59, my wife and I walked in about half an hour before you. If we hadn't I'm sure, like us, you would be praising the very tasty food, delicious wine and fantastic hospitality. Next visit I will make sure we book ahead to ensure...we don't miss out.
