Just come back from a lovely lunch at California. The €12 Menu Del Dia was quite filling, so much so that the missus has had to go for a lie down, which gives me some peace and time to write this review. Just come back from a lovely lunch at California. The €12 Menu Del Dia was quite filling, so much so that the missus has had to go for a lie down, which gives me some peace and time to write this review. The Menu Del Dia choices differed from the ones advertised on the board outside, so cant be relied on, but there were still options that suited us. Mussels Cuban Rice for starters then a beef steak on-the-bone Chicken Casserole (Estofado) followed by fresh melon a slice of Vienetta (aka Comtessa, although described as Tarta De Chocolate) Extra bread, a couple of coffees and an extra wine beer brought the cost up to a very reasonable €31. The locals and spanish reps eat here so you know it's gonna be authentic and good value. It certainly is.
We had excellent lunch with sea food. Staff very polite and helpful. We enjoyed very much the little calamari. Worth visiting.
