This superb restaurant and bar has a very traditional Spanish interior with nice decor and furnishings and excellent features and excellent seating areas both inside and on it's superb outside seating area. We visited here early in the afternoon on a roasting hot day and sat outside where we had a few bottles of Spanish beer'the beer was served iced cold and where really well priced. This is a very good Spanish restaurant and bar thats well worth visiting if you're ever in this area of Salou.(This is my first review of Restaurante Mendebal). Opening Hours. No English ,certainly no english younger end who r hell bent on giving us bad name ,not that we need any help. Polite speaking spanish who respect and love children . No f words every second , just good cold beer , excellent tapas , great conversation with nice people , WELL DONE THE MENDEBAL !

Walking in and I kn... read more My twin brother Stephen and I were exploring around this part of the resort when we chanced upon Restaurante Mendebal and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light and airy interior, a cool looking serving bar, great decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets around Restaurante Mendebal. We sat outside were a very pleasant member of the bar team took our order of a beer each, we chose beers from Estrella Damm Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and accompanied with a bowl of peanuts that were delicious and much appreciated, we chilled out and soaked up the sun while we sipped our beers. A big fan of this famous Spanish beer, its a beer perfect for the hot climate out here in Salou, its a light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink, when served freezing cold as in this bar its just a really refreshing beer. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to Restaurante Mendebal we were totally impressed. Restaurante Mendebal is easy to locate along C.De Lleiba. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 9.30am till Midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.
