Both the fish and meat dishes are excellent, and the desserts are equally delicious. When I'm in Salò, it's a must-see.

The welcome was okay, the waitresse... read more A quick trip to Salo and a quick lunch. Ristorante Canottieri was on the way. It was busy with lots of locals (always good). The welcome was okay, the waitresses, all young ladies, seemed a bit cold (that's my job, after all). The menu was small but good. We chose two pasta dishes. The food came quickly and the taste was simply excellent. We also ordered semifredo and cheesecake for dessert, which we didn't really like. I don't think the value for money for dessert in Italy is good in general. A slice of cake is 6-8 euros. All in all, water, half a glass of wine, pasta, and dessert cost 60 euros, which is normal these days.

I have to say it's an excellent option for Salò. We each had just one dish for a quick lunch, and I have to say it was good. Spaghetti with clams was good, with a good flavor... the clams were a little thin and the sauce a little thin, but still good. My wife's tartare was good. Fast service. Right price.
