We visited the restaurant twice because of the delicious food and outstanding service.
This restaurant was a surprise to us. The food was very imaginative and tasty. Unfortunately the lovely food was not hot and the duck leg was rare which was our first experience eating it rare. Duck legs are usually confit and not red inside. At the end of the meal our server discounted our dinner by 10% which we had not expected.
Good news nice wine list with plenty of local wines paired to their menu items. Bad news this restaurant is good, but its trying to be something it is not. Price paid for what is offered is a stretch. Charcuterie tray was disappointingly short on local cheeses and meats I don't want to pay $25 for raisins and cranberries among the other slim choices on the presentation. Steaks were okay, but not worth the price. Not a romantic spot unless maybe the restaurant is empty. Having said that, if you are in the hotel and don't want to go out then this is far better than a pizza, though expect to pay a lot more. Two of us paid $150 for appetizer, 4 glasses of wine paired to our menu choices, and the two different steak dinners.
We recently moved to the Shuswap area from Calgary, Alberta and were hoping to enjoy a finer dining experience for my birthday. I had heard about Table 24 through a Facebook recommendation and we reserved for two of us at 7 p.m. online. Upon our arrival the hostess originally was going to sit us at a deuce but not in an ideal location but thankfully she offered us a much more optimal choice of a dining booth. As we were the only guests at the time, we were a little uncertain as to her original selection of a less desirable table. We were promptly greeted by Alissa, our server for the evening who was very professional and courteous. When torn between the tuna entree or the halibut, she painted a very visual description of both entrees, so that I selected the halibut which was excellent! The halibut was served grilled with Strawberry Buerre Blanc and fresh basil with Herb Whipped Potatoes and a nice selection of local aautéed Vegetables. The wine pairing was a suggested local wine from Larch Hills but I opted for my favourite Okanagan wine from Therapy, Freudian Sip . My entree was priced relative to Calgary prices and was well worth it! My husband enjoyed the Salmon special entree that evening and we finished off with some wonderful desserts. I had the chocolate pots de creme and my husband had the chef 's cheesecake. Both were fluffy and super enjoyable. A very nice way to celebrate and we will be back with friends!
