Wow! My girlfriend and I went to Belly's today for lunch!! I had the grilled pork chop (tender juicy)!! She had the baked chicken, again, tender juicy! We shared okra potato salad but both had to have cabbage! Yummy! Don't forget they make everything fresh, with new specials daily have take out too! Check them out, you'll be glad you did! What Amanda Morton doesn't like about Belly's Soul Food Diner:
Had to wait 45 minutes for an order I called in. I was at first told they were waiting for my porkchop plate. That box was ready 5 minutes after I got there. The only other thing I got was 4 hotdogs. 25 minutes later I was told they are waiting for 2 of the hotdogs. Whew Lawd when I say if you want home cooking but don't wanna cook... Go to Belly's Soul Food. My family and I enjoyed this down home cooking. Taste just like my Mama's. All the way down to the cornbread. Ms. Linda and her family put a hurting on that food. And my family enjoyed every bite, savored every taste. God keep blessing the hands that prepare that food. Many Blessings and Returns To You All. Oan that sweet potato pie.... Delicious.... We will be returning. Vegetarian options: Collards, Cabbages, Okra, Squash, Black eye peas, etc.
Wasn't what I expected. Not alot to choose from on the menu. The chicken and cornbread was really good. The Mac cheese really disappointed me. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
Pork chop seemed a little overcooked. Mac and cheese was ok, but hard cheese on top. Wasn't creamy. A little pricey for the portions.
