I had the opportunity to eat in the Surar for 2 days. The menu has a lot of interesting options, starting with the value of local Ingredients, pescados. There are plenty of options which celebrate the Catalonian cuisine, such as the crema catala. There are also classics of the Spanish cuisine such as the fideua and the croquetes de jamon. The squid in bocadillos has the tasty caramelized flavor of fire. I loved it I also had the opportunity to interview the chef and ask more about the menu planning. The chef has international experience in all sorts of cuisine styles but decided to focus his attention in the traditional dishes of the country and especially the Catalonian region. I also enquirer about vegetarian options and he assured there are some options for vegetarians. Forget pasta and burger and dip yourself into the strong tastes of Mediterranean food! Another detail that deserves to be mentioned is the customer service. Staff are warmly friendly. Moreover, The SURAR has a genuine policy for diversity and inclusion. It is rare to see that visible in 100% of the customer service. Might happen in urban areas But in a small beach of Catalonian I have seen! I was glad to see that, since cooking is an act of diversity itself. Lastly the view is astonishing and breathtaking with the nautical point right below the restaurant. Atmosphere is nice and calm. You should def try out if in Costa brava of Spain.
