Super Pollo Taqueria - Salinas

I've been dining here for over 20 years, and it never disappoints! The food is fantastic, the service is friendly and welcoming for families, and the portion sizes are generous. On March 16, 2017, I tried their special of the day, which included a Chile Relleno, an Enchilada, a Taco, rice, beans, and a large soft drink—all for just $10.49 plus tax. I was really hungry, so don’t judge! Ha ha!

My favorite place to eat! The food is delicious and the portion sizes are generous. The service is quick, and the restrooms are clean. Most importantly, all the staff, including the owners, are very polite—something that's not so common these days.

The restaurant was bustling with customers. I ordered a chicken taco, which arrived quickly at my table, steaming hot, served on two corn tortillas and topped with lettuce and cheese. As it was my first visit, I was treated to a complimentary soda.

Best place in South Salinas to go for lunch. (Especially when you don't have lots of extra time. Food is fresh, hot, excellent and quick to be served. Staff are very friendly and I highly recommend this Taqueria.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner, Super Pollo is always a great bet! This is a hole in the wall place with a lot to offer. Both locations provide consistent quality and quantity. The breakfast quesadilla is huge, filled with fluffy eggs, meat of choice and beans, served with a side of breakfast potatoes which are actually french fries covered with sauteed onions and green peppers.....to die for! All the breakfast burritos are delicious, huge and affordable. The signature pollo, fruit juice marinated and basted slow broiled chicken is delicious and a whole chicken, rice, beans and tortillas are still less then $15. But the best of all is the seafood. Try the Tres Tostada's, one each of shrimp, octopus and cerviche, all so fresh you can still taste the ocean. For $10.50 for all three this is a real bargain for this quality of seafood. For a large group, try a take out order of the Mariscadas or Mexican shellfish stew. Enough to serve four hungry adults, add an order of rice, beans and tortillas and for about $20 you have a huge variety of shell fish and fresh fish cooked in a rich red sauce with onions and peppers which is delicious! Super Pollo has all the stand by's, Tortas, burritos, etc and they offer a daily seafood special which is very reasonable, too.
