What User likes about Fujiyama:
I had an awesome in this spot. We loved the superb atmosphere and the food. The staff members are super personal. I’m glad we eventually decided to try this restaurant. View all feedback. What Art Gonzales doesn't like about Fujiyama:
This restaurant is extremely noisy, the food is bland, and the service is terrible. I would definitely recommend going elsewhere, as there are much better sushi options in Salinas. If you're in the mood for Japanese cuisine, there are also better choices in town. I didn't try the hibachi, so I can't comment on that, but it is even louder on that side of the restaurant. Excellent food, Clean fresh sashimi rolls. Very reasonable price. Excellent customer service. Also, fantastic fried banana ice cream, just for $3!

read moreLocated in Salinas, Fujiyama offers a mixed dining experience that ranges from entertaining teppanyaki shows to less favorable sushi options. While some patrons rave about the interactive chefs and generous portions, others criticize the noise levels, bland flavors, and inconsistent cleanliness. The ambiance is likened to a cozy café, and the attentive staff earns praise. However, be prepared for a crowded and bustling environment, especially by the hibachi. For those seeking a family outing or a lively atmosphere, this restaurant has its merits, but discerning diners may find better Japanese cuisine alternatives elsewhere. Overall, a unique but uneven experience awaits.
