Fast service, great little place with character. And fresh ingredients. Fish and shrimp tacos, chimichanga, street tacos, and the chips and pico were delicious. The portions were good. Large fries was definitely large. Something for our whole family, even one with celiac disease. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.

After reading Morgan's wonderful review, we were certain we had discovered our lunch destination! The menu is extensive, and they serve breakfast all day, so I was able to order my favorite Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. Delicious! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Carne Asada Street Tacos, which were overflowing with tender meat. The service was very quick, and the food was excellent.
I check the menu and know the safest bet in a small town is street tacos. Playa Azul… don’t change a thing! The tacos were exactly what I needed: juicy, with a touch of spice and fresh cilantro. Some might say they’re the perfect street taco. Honorable mentions go to the crispy tacos, which had the ideal crunch and a fresh take on the classic, and the California burrito—who doesn’t love a French fry wrapped in a tortilla? Within 20 minutes, we were back on the road, already dreaming about and craving Playa Azul. Salina, I’d say we’ll be back, but honestly, who really drives through Salina? If we do, though, we will definitely stop at Playa Azul again.
The service was quick, and it’s a charming little spot with lots of character. They use fresh ingredients, and everything we tried was fantastic—especially the fish and shrimp tacos, chimichanga, street tacos, and the chips with pico de gallo. The portion sizes were generous; the large fries were definitely large. There was plenty to satisfy our entire family, including a member with celiac disease. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as 5 out of 5.
