Ophelia and Kavelle go to great lengths to source fresh Caribbean ingredients to serve their clientele. The Blue Mountain coffee is directly from Jamaica, and I love how Ophelia gets creative with her vanilla dumplings and makes them cute shapes! There is a happy familial atmosphere at Auntie Rita's and one feels like they are part of that family! To put it another way, I have family who are not hip on spicy food, bu... View all feedback.
What Розалина Смирнов doesn't like about Auntie Rita's Jamaican Cuisine:
If a restaurant wants to command over $20.00 a plate for lunch. I expect table service and actual plates. To-Go-Boxes just don't cut it. Just because the establishment is located on Santa Fe in downtown Salina does not mean it can skimp on high quality service. There was an over abundance of bones in my meal. As we were the only customers, I imagine the chef could have taken the time to remove these before serving me... View all feedback.
We JUST ate here and I have to say we are all blown away. My husband says the j sauce is the best he has ever had. The kiddo says the chicken is a million out of ten lol. We are so happy and the food is absolutely delicious. The restaurant is clean and laid back. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you're in town.Food: 5/5
GREAT Jamaican food and friendly staff! Definitely recommend coming here and supporting this restaurant. Its places like this that can come and go without local support. Have only had Jamaican food this good in Jamaica. Food is flavorful and large portions!Food: 5/5
Ordered chicken curry, my husband ordered Ox Tail for his first time ever (he was scared), kids had chicken strips and our baby got the mac n cheese.... EVERY SINGLE ITEM was AMAZING!! My husband ate all his oxtail. And we both helped eat the mac n cheese, which was the best mac n cheese I've had anywhere! And I've had some really delicious mac n cheese! The chicken curry was on the bone and a sweet curry, super delicious and melted off the bone.... the cabbage was good too, like a cooked/heated coleslaw. A great experience!Oh, and we had to get a second order of plantains to go, because I ate the whole first order solo and didn't share.
Stopped in on our way home. Had the j chicken and brown stew chicken dinners. Both were delicious! Super friendly staff. Very clean restaurant. Definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
Good food, maybe a bit pricey for the area. $46 for 2 entree's and a side of Onion rings. (Waters to drink)It's good and if money is no object I wouldn't be surprised if this is the best food in Town, nice change of pace from the average Kansas Fare of Burgers or fried meat.
