The Lost Cajun - Salida

I cannot praise The Lost Cajun enough. This charming little restaurant serves the best authentic Cajun food I have had outside of the deep south. Everything is incredible. My favorite part was the sampler they brought out, featuring six menu favorites that made choosing what to eat even more difficult. The lobster was one of the best I have ever had, and the jambalaya and gumbo were perfection. I was torn until the food specialist recommended the half Po' boy sandwich and a cup of soup. If I lived in Salida, I would eat here several times a week.

The dining experience was excellent with great service. We were delighted to receive a complimentary sampler so we could try unfamiliar dishes. The black catfish was outstanding, with no fishy taste. The thinly baked shrimp were beautifully done and the rich, thick ribs were delicious. We will definitely be returning soon.
