While many patrons praise the delicious Sunday carvery and attentive service, others express disappointment over cold and overcooked dishes, particularly the steak. The atmosphere is inviting, with cozy seating and a good selection of beverages, including wine and desserts. However, some diners have noted limited vegetarian options and slow service. Overall, the restaurant shines during special occasions, yet consistency remains an issue, leaving diners torn between their love for the place and frustrations experienced during their meals.
I absolutely adore this bistro. It's wonderful to have a go-to spot with a fantastic menu and outstanding service. Cheryl, the woman who served my drinks and food, was excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. I've been a few times now, even for my niece's 21st birthday a few months ago. I can't wait to return.
The restaurant appeared promising, but the food was served cold and overcooked. There were no dairy-free options available. While there was a variety of choices, quality suffered greatly in some dishes.
I had a wonderful Sunday evening carvery while on a business trip. The selection of meats and vegetables was fantastic, all dishes were cooked perfectly, and the desserts were delightful.
Cosy and relaxed seating area with a good selection of cakes and sandwiches. We were able to combine a refreshing glass of wine with our pot of tea. In fact we were so relaxed that we stayed there for several hours!
Good quality food and portion size however food arrived cold sent it back and veg and mash was hot steak cold, sent it back again and steak hot and veg cold, then steak cooked to much was more like a well done streak and should of been medium.
