We pulled up and the outside had nothing special to really grab your eye, but we decided to try it. Wow! We're glad we did it. Very friendly and friendly staff. Excellent food. Every dish we saw brought other tables look amazing. I ordered the chicken stall... it was great! A HUGE plate full and it was absolutely delicious. I couldn't eat anything, and I tried!! What Phillip Wachholz doesn't like about Village Garden:
The new owner of the restaurant is not as attentive as the previous owner. My ribeye steak was overcooked, despite ordering it medium rare. The steak is now thinner and smaller, yet still priced the same as before. My wife also ordered the ribeye steak, but hers was even smaller and thinner than mine. Give this little mother and try pop square. Be aware....they only had 1 bathroom at the time of our visit because of a redesign, but they installed a lock on the door, so it is private.
I was there several times. The staff is very friendly. And the food is good.
I grew up in Chicago, where Greek family restaurants are ubiquitous. I missed her since I moved to Southern Illinois. They serve a little of everything and do it all well. That's the next thing I found since I moved south. Chicago transplants make the trip to Salem, you will not regret. And by the way, when I saw the building, I was sure it was a Greek restaurant in Chicago style. So glad we stopped
Good food..big service. cheap. My family often goes and we're never disappointed. All about good family restaurant. Love it!!
Took 2 picky kids and they ate almost all their food but got full because it was so much. I had the fried chicken and my fiance had the cat fish sandwich both were really good. The service was amazing!
