Rudy's Steakhouse - Salem

My first visit to rudy’s. food service and personal were very professional in all aspects of customer service. we were there for happy hour and the variety of foods was very well balanced with a lot of protein and vegetarian decisions. that will not be my last visit.

Charles was a great server. Unfortunately my prime rib that was ordered medium was cooked well and very dry. This was the first time I’ve ever had to return my food. Charles handled it well and offered a different cut and didn’t charge us for the prime rib. He was sincere. Sad that another table close to us had a similar experience with their prime rib. Unacceptable especially for the price.

Not overly memorable outside of the bill. Our server, although nice, she seemed detached and was just going through the motions. For example, we were sat at a converted 2 top from a 4. It was next to a busy opening where there was a lot of foot traffic. We received our menu but no wine list or drink menu. She asked us what we would like to drink, well…we had no drink menus, so she brought us the cocktail menu. Then we had to ask for the wine menu. We ordered our drinks, and went ahead and ordered the rest of our food. It was good, not overly memorable outside of it was a steakhouse. Additionally, the dessert menu was limited due to availability. They had ONE dessert available, which we opted not to get. As far as the bill…$280

Great date night. the fierce rain, the staff was also out of place. prime rib was perfect. bonus, no light from the offer pour.

From the city visit triggered by good reviews. they were right. this will be our first choice when in the city again. the food was so good. get the lamb feet!
