Berkley's Back 9 Grille - Salem

Went to Berkley's for crabs and was not disappointed. Steamed crabs were a good size and enjoyed by all. Only criticism was that the crabs could have been a little more seasoned. Also had the crab cakes which we excellent. Full of lump crab meat with virtually no filler. Good garlic roasted potatoes and very good corn on the cob. The home run of the meal though was the crab fries appetizer. Classic style crab fries except with the addition of a generous portion of lump crab meat on top. Puts Chickie's and Pete's to shame.

Live music. Casual atmosphere. Seasonal crabs. This place is Salem County's best kept secret! I always fall for the grilled cheese burger, which is literally a burger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Way more food than any person should try to eat in a sitting! The crab Mac and cheese is made with Cooper Sharp cheese, so of course it is to die for.

If you want to visit a bar that has a racist owner, this is the place. She is quite pathetic and I hope her business folds after making racist comments to my wife and I.
