Oceanic Chinese Restaurant

I do not know why people have had some good reviews as this was dreadful we ordered singapore noodles as they do not have crispy which we always have we ordered a fried rice and it was terrible it had big chunks of spam NOT HAM or BACON was dry and not flavour my husband wanted sweet and sour fish which they did not have so ordered sweet and Sour chicken it was the worst meal I would never go back we love Chinese and have never had such terrible Chinese meal I would say save your money or go elsewhere......

Ordered from here because I was told it had s great rep I was very disappointed Flavours basic Food was expensive with little meat I can't actually say anything good about it really Just disappointed

Family Restaurant has been around for years, and it never fails to impress! Excellent freshly prepared food. Garlic vegetables are a must for our family. It gets busy early, if you can make a booking for 7pm it will be less busy and food comes faster. Always happy!

We've eaten here many times, and always found everything better than good. However last night we took our 92 year old neighbour out for Mother's Day, and found the restaurant terribly overbooked and understaffed for this special occasion.We were shown to our table promptly, and our drinks were provided soon after, but that everything ground to a halt!We waited more than an hour and a half before we received our main meal ... to the point that our elderly guest wanted to go home without eating! We heard similar complaints from those seated near to our table.And it was not only the main meal ... it was over an hour before we received our entrée, we were never supplied with water to the table, and on the 3 occasions that we wanted drinks refreshed I had to go to the bar and request them. There was virtually no table service whatsoever!When the meal did arrive, it was virtually thrown in front of us, with a mumbled apology that carried no feeling.We will be sampling the wares of other restaurants for quite awhile before we return to the Oceanic, and our elderly friend will NEVER go back to her "favourite eatery"!

After many years of driving past, we finally tried this restaurant. You need to look past the exterior and peer inside where you will find a busy and obviously successful restaurant. We visited outside of holiday season and still found the place almost full, so booking in advance would be recommended. It is clearly a local favourite with an extensive menu. Staff are attentive and enjoy helping you select dishes that would suit your requirements. We ordered Orange Chicken and the owner came up and apologised that they couldn't do Orange tonight but could do a Lemon one instead, which was delicious, so we were cool with that.I don't understand some of the negative comments listed here as we only encountered that same as those others that had a great experience. We will definitely be back.
