We stopped here on our way back to Dallas from Laredo since my mom wanted a burger. I'm so glad we did. They were delicious! I paired my burger with onion rings (some of the best I've ever tasted and my mom had fried okra with hers (yum! . They let you know your food is ready and you go to the counter to pick up your burger basket and you head to the bar where you top and fix it how you want. They looked so goo we du... What Michelle Stuart doesn't like about Old Fashioned Burgers Ice Cream:
We walked in for the first time and stood at the counter waiting to order for a few minutes. They were out of a few things on the menu. Only one guy was working in the whole place and we could see him to the left cooking burgers and onion rings. He was VERY busy! The oil was smoking from over heating in the fryer and stank real bad. Luckily there is a Subway next door so we got out of line and walked over to subway. View all feedback.
Okay I found this treasure by accident. I was looking for a subway in saledo, tx. The directions brought me here. Which half the building is a subway amd the other half is Burgers and Ice cream. The have plenty of seating. Clean. Clean bathrooms. The menu rocks and is simple. Reasonably priced and I hope that doesn't change. The food is amazing, delicious, mouthwatering. So far I've tried their chicken sandwich, cheeseburger and onion rings. They make everything when you order it. This is not fast food service. IT does take time to order and time to make your food. But so worth it. Great for families and wheel chairs. Haven't tried thr ice cream yet but will do soon. Alsonthey have a toppings bar for your pickles, onions, jalapeños, etc and condiments. Th I s is hands down one of the best burger places ever. Sorry I didn't take photos of the food but I will when I go back.
The hamburger was very good. Best hamburger I've eaten Had the chocolate milkshake. Very good
I was extremely excited to try this place out with my family but was quickly disappointed. We waited a good 20 minutes for burgers and fries. We ordered 2 junior burgers and 2 old fashioned burgers both with fries. The crinkly fries were overcooked. The junior burgers are the size of a breakfast sausage on a regular bun, they do not come with cheese. The old fashioned burgers are made with what seems to be frozen square patties, and are cooked all the way through, so super done. You get your choice of cheese and the buns are toasted. We ended up giving our kids the old fashioned burgers. I combined the “sausage” patties to make a half burger for my husband and I threw my toasted buns away. The condiments were nonexistent, ketchup jars were empty, we had to ask for pickles, and the area was unkept. I only gave it a 1 star because we did have shakes and they were ok. Do not recommend for food, not worth the money. It has potential but it needs adult supervision.
This was a 2 all the way around. The staff didn't care, the food was edible not good, and the atmosphere was bland. Our group of 7 all agreed it wasn't for us. There ranch tasted more like tartar sauce so weird. Although the staff didn't seem to care they were friendly.
Food is normally good. Service is very slow with one person working on taking orders and making the food.
