What Carmen H doesn't like about Ambrosia Tea Room:
First time visiting this Tea Room. Was very disappointed. We sat down and waited for waitress to come and bring menus. My friend asked for ice tea; I ordered decaf coffee. Waitress come back with water for my friend and coffee for me. We asked the waitress went was she bringing the ice tea, we never ordered water. She came back with the ice tea. Went to Ambrosia Tea Room for lunch Tea. Quaint vintage cottage style space. Loads of lace, floral tablecloths, vintage dresses, hats, etc for decor. We were 1st customers on quite Saturday morning waitress was sweet and helpful. Ordered the Sample plate (4 petite sandwich’s soup) although they tried being accommodating to my diet restrictions, requested to sub out chicken salad for avocado, and sub pimento cheese for grilled cheese. (Only got one of the two grilled cheese). Enjoyed the lobster bisque and the cucumber sandwich best of three. Also tried the cranberry lemonade hot way too sweet!!! Should have stuck with Earl Grey. Not much selection of desserts. So went next door for some fudge Wigglesworth.
My mom and I love to visit here for lunch and make a special trip every couple of months to do so! Everything is wonderful but she especially loves the sampler platter and gets it every time. Also, we love looking at the adorable vintage decor... so feminine and classy! ????
