Service too slow. 50 minutes to get our food. Server not attentive; always had to try to get his attention. Buffet breakfast so the focus is on bringing coffee. Even then, had to chase after the server.

I've been to the Manoir several times and it's always been good. Nice service, good food, a good option for brunch and supper when you're staying in the hotel.... read more I've been to the Manoir several times and it's always been good. Nice service, good food, a good option for brunch and supper when you're staying in the hotel. This time around, the hotel was renovating the neighbouring restaurant and during our 7:30pm supper we could hear the sounds of the construction workers...hammering, drilling, nail guns shots...it was all very loud and super distracting. Our table couldn't understand why construction was going on during dining hours, why we weren't warned when making reservations, and especially that they didn't comp us anything after we complained. Only the next morning, upon checkout, did the hotel receptionist offer us a discount on our room after I mentioned last night's inconvenience. I'll be going back, im sure, as we really like the hotel-but we won't be eating at their restaurant until all the construction is finished with.

Following the meal I ordered a gelato for desert and it was delivered to me in a paper cup with a tiny plastic ice cream sampling spoon. Whoever made that decision needs their head examined! This for a three hundred dollar plus meal for two. Environment is very bright. They should dim the lights in the evening. It was cafeteria like. The bartender attending to their bar was an outstanding server.
