What lucas de Jesus Santos doesn't like about Universitaire Diderot Crous Grenoble Alpes:
Restaurant U completely crowded and poorly adapted to the amount of students present. Minimum 50min waiting every noon even when arriving at 11h50. From 12h the grill pole no longer offers chopped steaks, instead, sausages certainly made of seasoned waste but still. The portions have fallen sharply and we remain on our hunger every noon, the staff has no right to serve us more (I specify that they are in no way respo... View all feedback.
RU always crowded with a lot of waiting. The queues are not always well defined and the students get a little anywhere (it would be good to put a marking on the ground or a sign down). Upstairs, the queues at the different stands/computers cross, similar to the boxes, is strangely done. If you finish the classes at 12:30, you will have no choice but to take the dish of the day. At the food level, it passes. The staff is generally friendly, especially the one who makes the traffic at the entrance.

I know that 3,30 euros is cheap for a meal but when I see the plate that I was served I think that they might be buffalo on it in fact. By hoping for improvements (maybe food trucks crispy?
Since the opening, the problems follow after the seasons. Disorganization at the entrance and queues that lie down. Unending to deposit its tray at the exit. Meat sinuousness barely past noon (certs, vegetables is cheaper, but we should have the choice; Well, we have to go somewhere else. We're wearing berne. The staff, mostly friendly, trinque. It was better before. It can be understood that the shift to 1 euros has disorganized the CROUS. But it is not up to users to pay strategic errors.
With a few adjustments the experience would be better for everyone... Here are a few things that bother me as staff who sometimes eat there: -We have the impression of being taken for a baby and less than nothing when we ask for a little more vegetables or starch, or on the contrary when we wish not to have the meat in the dish... If you are vegetarian and the vegetarian dish of the day does not suit you for various reasons, you cannot opt for the meat dish by removing the meat... -The inability for staff to access fries without going through the student line is distressing. -The current system only allows you to have a starter and a dessert in addition to the main course, whereas an extra cheese would always be a gain on the doses... -The impossibility of knowing the menus in advance is a problem, imagine going there, waiting in line, only to come across dishes that you hate or to which you are allergic... -Overall the main dishes are edible, even if it is still cooking based on cans and other frozen foods, on the other hand the starters and desserts are really not great... -There are certain funds which accept the credit card, and this is a good thing when we consider the difficulty posed by succeeding in obtaining an izly account which works normally for certain newcomers, except I have seen it several times students and staff being half insulted by one of the cashiers because they wanted to pay by card... we must either ban the credit card, or ask this person to change position if the cash register stresses them out to the point to be arrogant and dismissive with customers... -Once you have passed the checkout, depending on the time you arrive, you may turn around for at least 5/10 minutes with tray in hand to find an empty table. If you are a group of friends or colleagues, prepare to eat separately, it happens more often than you think. -To clear your tray the lines are forever long too, it's annoying, we need more tray trolleys and they should be placed in the restaurant, not just towards the conveyor belt for the dish. -There would be other little things here and there that bother me but nothing as important as what I have already said... I don't blame the staff who do what they can but why Does the Crous management not love its customers and staff? take inspiration from the municipal catering services of the city of Grenoble which offer much better, for not much more expensive, with a more pleasant service for everyone...
