Having lived 12 years, there are 2 things you learn to appreciate: friendly and efficient service as well as unpretentious food. And this place has it. I had 'squid on la Blanche' and my husband and my daughter paella. But there are many restaurants in Ste Marie's and their friendly attitude to customers is refreshing. Beware of the midgies (tiny and silent mosquitoes) after sundown though, stealthy and lethal.... View all feedback.
What Verona Auer doesn't like about La Canardiere:
There seemed not much to choose between the restaurants in town, offering similar menus, so we walked in here. The seafood was OK but no more and my steak was a bit of a struggle. The most interesting thing was the tense drama between the German couple at the next table. View all feedback.
We were with random friends. And I am very satisfied with the performance (I admit that I do not understand negative opinions. Maybe an improvement since. Or simply different tastes). In all cases for 13€ I had a rather tasted house paella and a dessert! Nice weather under the terrace with sun exposure. Short or even friendly staff

Second time that we eat at the duck always as good the welcome super the pleasant service and the cuisine always equal to the expectation in an original setting thank you
