We ate here recently as part of a very large group. Whilst the menu was therefore necessarily limited, the meal was most enjoyable and the staff coped amazingly well with us all. The establishment also has a shop, selling biscuits, tea , coffee etc, with an amazing chocolaterie which is open until early evening. View all feedback.
What Sophie Torres doesn't like about Bistrot at The Biscuit Sainte-mere-eglise:
We arrived around 8pm and this restaurant wasn't really busy but there was a large french family and 3 other couples in.Service was a bit slow, food very average and didn't look at all like the photo's other reviewers had posted (wished I'd taken a photo now to show). My entrecôte was very gristly which was a shame as I really enjoy the flavour of this cut.Maybe we just chose a bad evening to visit but based on our e... View all feedback.
Had the asparagus risotto with smoked bacon and parmesan cheese. followed by a selection of local cheeses. washed down with half a carafe of local rose. Absolutely delicious. Service was as usual in France relaxed but good. Great lunch was had.

We stopped on a spur of the moment for diner. The wait staff was friendly and nice there were english translations on the menu. The wait staff did not speak English but we muddled through okay. The food was on the better end of good. Overall, it was well worth the price, but did not reach exceptional. All three of us who dined would return to dine again.

We stopped here for lunch. The restaurant was busy but not full; and we were seated quickly and our order was taken efficiently..not too many smiles from the waitress but that appeared to be the general trend among the waiting staff. The drinks & food arrived in good time and the food was delicious.....however once we had finished our mains the problems started.....we were ignored for over 20 minutes with dirty plates on the table despite at least 3 members of staff passing our table & serving the table behind us or cleaning other tables around us (the restaurant by this time had only a handful of tables occupied). When we asked for the table to be cleared we were told the delay was because they were busy! The table was eventually half cleared & then unsurprisingly we were told they had run out of the dessert we had ordered - (we were offered cheese as an alternative which we declined). If it hadn't been for the frosty attitude of the staff, this would have been a lovely lunch stop which I would have recommended based on the food....however we left feeling frustrated & disappointed. Would not recommend.
