Restaurant L'Instant - Sainte-Maxime

My husband and I with our 2 kids got to there at 1:45pm, a waitress with unwelcome attitude told us the cuisine was closed, so we couldn't choose what we wanted, only the food what they wanted to do. That was very surprising, because the close time of this restaurant is 2:30pm, I thought I had the right to order the food. On the other hand, there are many construction sites around this restaurant, so the environment is not good. 中午从图书馆出来一看时间有些晚，在网上看到这家饭店评分不低而且还来到2点30，所以1点45就赶到这里。说实话这家饭店店面包括陈设看起来都很一般，只有一名服务员态度也很一般，坐下后差不多等了5分钟这位服务员才姗姗而来，说什么厨房关了所以只有什么可以吃，小孩子也只能吃什么什么，完全是打发人的节奏。这家饭店的plat du jour要19欧，比起一般的饭店要贵出很多，就这样一个价位不低的饭店的服务质量真心是太差，随即决定走人。或许味道还不错，但就环境和服务，这个评分实在是有些太高了。另外周围很多建筑工地，乌烟瘴气的，不吃也罢！

His is my parents favorite restaurant and I understand why. We had dinner with my two kids and this is the first time both of them eat a hole meal without any fuss. The staff is outstanding and the food is amongst the best I´ve eaten.The view isn´t the best but the food and staff makes you forget about that =)The interior is warm and fresh.I highly recommend this restaurant for both families with our without kids.

We read the reviews and headed out to find this little gem, it was much closer to Sainte Maxime than we thought, the staff were very welcoming. The food was excellent my wife had the saumon Tartare which was fantastic, I had eggs with mushrooms and truffle oil, very pleasing in deed, the main courses did not fail on taste or originality. The chef came to check all was well with the meal which in deed it was. The price was very good offering something different at a very competitive price. Definitely a new restaurant for us to return to. Thanks for a lovely meal and a great evening, the terrace is a pleasure to sit in.

Decided to come here based on all the great reviews and the fact that we are based in le plan de la tour and therefore it's relatively close to us. The menu is small but a variety of choice and all freshly cooked. Very good value prices and the wines are also decent and affordable. I had tartare of saumon which was delicious and came with a fragrant rice and salad, the others in my party had various offerings such as entrecote (delicious) and a wok style dish. The cafe gourmand was well priced and contained 4 desserts each of a good size. The chef/owner Marine came around at the end to see if everything had been ok which was a nice touch. My only comment would be that it lacks a little ambiance. Half of it is covered in wines (and a little dark) and the other half is a little like a cafeteria, but nevertheless definitely worth trying out.
