Near Utah Beach we found this restaurant on Sunday afternoon. We stopped and all had one of the specials followed by a dessert. Excellent Normandy Cidre finished our meal. While not cheap, the value cannot be questioned. Simply excellent food in a great environment, right opposite the church (which has its own history! We will return! View all feedback.
What Bikash Baral doesn't like about L'Estaminet:
We had a quick lunch yesterday with Foiegras and smoked salmon. Both were great so we decided to come back in the evening. We called if the restaurant was still open and this was the case. Arrived at 21:00. We had diner at the terras under the canopy, which was nice as the temp dropped after a warm day. Half way in our meal they clossed the canopy which instantly dropped the temp from nice to cold. This while we were... View all feedback.
This was our first evening on a bike tour through Normandy, so we were ready to eat well. The restaurant is very pleasant inside and directly opposite the church in Saint-Marie. We had a great meal. The highlights were the oysters that were extremely fresh and juicy. We had a selection of fish dishes as main dishes and the Dos de Cabillaud (Kid) was excellent, delicious and delicately cooked.
This is a typical French restaurant that prepares the best of local fare well and served at very reasonable prices, nice choice of price at reasonable prices, good service.
We had a lovely dinner at L'Estaminet. We chose the menu and each course was very tasty and well prepared. The two salmon lasagna was great! We recommend l'Estaminet for any occasion.
Booked a table for 5 adults and 4 children at 7pm on a Thursday night. Just as well as some unlucky clients got turned away. Traditional fare and atmosphere in an historic setting for D DAY buffs. Opposite the church and a small green that...provide limited on street parking the eatery is a must find, if in the area. Limited menu but delicious flavours. Kids even managed with the junior offerings. For adults, moules, duck, lamb , omelette and spicy burgers. Local deux cider at 2% is a drivers delight. Desserts are all home made and works of art and tastes. Early evening flies were a little annoying but soon left, unlike us who stayed without being rushed. Throughly recommended.
