There was an adorable little black house cat named Watson that lived on-site, and he truly stole the show, following us throughout the tour. The place also features a small gift shop and offers accommodations if you wish to stay overnight. Overall, it's a fantastic destination for tiger lovers. The scenic drive to get there is breathtaking, with beautiful rolling hills along the way. View all feedback.
Well informed staff, sleeping rooms are clean and beautiful and the animals are healthy and well maintained. 45 minutes tour was cool. Absolutely a great stay!
This was a fabulous experience. Not an animal show but a retirement home for tigers rescued from animal shows, roadside attractions etc. These beautiful animals are respected and very well cared for.
Crown Ridge is a great place to visit their rescued tigers. Our guide was very friendly and informative, and you can tell by what he explained that they do for the tigers and from their living conditions that the sanctuary cares.
Tucked away in the sprawling hills of mid-Missouri, just outside of historic St. Genevieve, is one of Missouri 's best kept secrets. Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary offers an up-close look at majestic tigers, who each have been rescued from various circumstances. Crown Ridge gives patrons the chance to see these gorgeous creatures enjoying the rest of their lifetime, filled with excellent care and enrichment in beautiful enclosures. Before our visit, I have never been so close to an actual live tiger. Talk about an incredible encounter: the interaction we had with them was an experience we never forget. Despite the close proximity to these apex predators, everything is safe and secure, as you 're led by staff that are friendly and knowledgeable. This not-for-profit has a number of brilliant ways to help fund their program. In addition to the usual merchandise and creative fundraisers Coffee with Cats they offer several flavors of soda pop if you 're a weirdo named after a different tiger they 've had over the years. Each one one is delicious, and they 're all brewed locally at a nearby winery. Our favorite was the Fizzy Izzy root beer , named after the 500lb male Siberian, Izzy. Perhaps the coolest experience available is they offer houses to rent just right up the road from the tiger enclosures! We 're currently planning a future for both sides of our family. Even for people who don 't want to stay the night, or who aren 't into soft drinks, the entry fee for the sanctuary is only $10. It 's worth every penny. This is a special place that we hope continues to grow and do the wonderful things they do. With your help, they can do that, and more. Please consider visiting and donating.
Stayed in Tiger Pointe. The place is beautiful, spacious and clean. Lovely place to stay with a great view. Plus there's tigers! They are so beautiful. The staff was very knowledgeable and well spoken. Gracie , Izzy , and Thor are such majestic creatures. A big thank you to their caregivers for doing such a great job.
