L' Hazewinde - Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel

Wonderful little estaminet with Flemish fare and local beer, brewery less than a 100 yards away. I had the carbonnade and it was absolutely delicious, one of the best I have had. My wife had the beef. It was gristly and undercooked. Make sure to order well done if you want medium.

Me and a few friends came across this restaurant and bar when we were on our way to Belgium having caught the ferry to Calais. We stopped off in Saint-Sylvestre to visit the brewery and really liked the surrounding area so we stopped in for a drink so we could try a glass of 3 Monts. The restaurant had such a great atmosphere that we stuck around for lunch. Getting out of London and stopping off at a place like this was just what we needed. We all had chicken cooked in 3 Monts which was excellent and the service was top notch.

Un endroit atypique ! Accueil parfait, très bien mangé ! Bonnes frites maison ! Planche apéro délicieuse ! À refaire rapidement.

We have fun in a nice place, held by a beautiful team. I always make sure I have a small place at the end for the perfect iced chicory. greedy, when you hold us!
