Contribute FeedbackWe found this restaurant/art gallery by chance and asked if we could reserve a table and bring our little dog with us. Like so many French restaurants their attitude towards the family pooch is very different than that of England and we were told : of course you can Infact come in now and meet my dog! So the scene was set for a good evening and later that same day when we returned we were welcomed like old friends. Sabine who is the owner and chef was absolutely charming and very welcoming and a superb chef. My husband says it is the best steak he has ever eaten in France: locally reared meat very full of flavour. I feel if there is any criticism to make it is a very small point : it is that I should have told Sabine when I was there earlier that I don’t eat meat as the menu for me was a little limited. That said the meal, wine, ambiance and Sabine were wonderful and we would go back again tomorrow.
This little place makes you feel you going to see a friend and entering someone private home. Little messy, little cozy, with old stuff and with near stuff it feels a little like an artist home. The food offered is on the little expensive side for what is offered. It’s very basic but with great products. The garden is a little messy but could be a lovely place. In fact it’s little messy everywhere but I guess it is part of the charm but the prices of the dishes are more on a reputable restaurant. I would say: walk in, ask to look around, ask for the menu and check it all out before settling here for lunch. But we loved our time there.
Lunch under the tonic in the middle of a lovely garden and objects of taste. friendly and attentive service. high quality products
