The concept is simple, a buffet of typical Provencal tapenade, salads, veggies, and appetizers for 29 Euros (2016). Add a protein entree to the buffet (2 choices) and the price is 42 Euros. The food was very good, but not particularly memorable. However, the setting under the large plane tree, with the beautiful grounds of a posh resort surrounding the dining tables- that is the moment that you take with you. Lavende... View all feedback.
What Pat777 7 doesn't like about Le Platane Et Sa Terasse Perchee:
the worst ever .. and this in an extraordinarily beautiful environment .. unprofessional service a hodgepodge of klutz and a cook who is not a 'cook ' .. Sent the food back and he just put it in the microwave oven for a while. Awful !! If they urgently at least are not looking for a 'professional ' cook, it will be a wasted summer. View all feedback.

Lavender, cherries, herbs, fountains, and the rolling hills beyond- beautiful! Tables in the sun if it is cool, or under the shade of the tree if you prefer. Oh, and of course, tree house dining for those that seek a different view! Highly recommend.
Maybe it's because we are not from France. The vegetable here amazed us in every aspect. The buffet offers zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, cherry radish, melons....all freshly harvested from local farm. And the chef didn't do much flavouring so it tastes super original sweet and juicy which you can only do so when the ingredients are fresh and with good quality. We had grilled lamb and fish as entree. They're also cooked in a simple way BBQ from an outdoor stove. It came with some grilled veggie on the side and tastes just as good as those served in high end restaurants in big city. Really love this place, as it offers simple and delicious food that you cannot have when you're far away from the fields. Agree that it's a bit pricy given it's located in the countryside of provence and just offering vegetables. But with the beautiful view from our table (and a tree house! , it definitely worth the price. It's the best dish we had in this area. P.s. don't forget to look for the otter in the pond next to you. He (or she? is adorable but also very shy.
Make sure you have a least one lunch under this Platane. The essence of Provence is surrounding you. Nothing is missing. Then comes the lunch. Extra fresh from the home garden, lots of flavors with the local herbs. It is well cooked, well served. Even for a quick solo lunch on the way to the TGV it is worth it. I come here every year with family and friends, and they even find the way to make improvements. Park under the olive trees near the Platane or next to the hotel with a free ride on the golf cart.
We had a lunch under the plane tree in this beautiful place. We were a group of 15 including 3 young children and were excellently catered for. The drive into this property is just breathtaking and it just gets more beautiful the more you discover. The hotel is stunning, although we were just there for lunch we looked at the pool area which is luxurious and inviting. Our stroll through the fruit lavender grove fills you with the typical sights and smells of Provence. They produce their own fruit, vegetables, tomatoes and herbs to mention just a few. There are little places to sit, relax and take I the surroundins dotted around. This place would be wonderful for a romantic break but just as wonderful for a big group lunch. The food is well presented and simply delicious. A look for the treehouse seating area is a must. We'll be back again for another meal or maybe to stay
