Please make my dream come true and open a Lizard’s Thicket in my hometown. I love Tally but have not found a restaurant where the cooks know how to cook vegetables and sides. Beans and veggies are always overcooked and too salty. The veggies at L.Thicket are cooked enough to be done but not mushy and not too salty. I especially love the green beans, limas and black eyed peas, the best black eyed peas I’ve had in years. The turkey and dressing is delicious as is the cornbread. The only side I tried that I didn’t like was the potato salad, too much mayo for me. The blackberry cobbler (heated) with ice cream is fabulous. The dessert list includes several pies and cakes which all sound great. This is a bare bones restaurant with no frills but very friendly servers and reasonable prices. Meat and 3 is $9.99 but you can get veggie plates for less or a bowl of soup or chili for just under $5. Tallahassee’s calling…..we need you.
Very nice family owned place. Like eating at a local restaurant when possible. These folks were very polite and the food was good. I tried their local onion homemade sausage- was really good with my eggs and grits.
Worst food I've ever eaten, cold rice and gravy, ordered two piece dark fried chicken got pork chop instead, fried okra cold. Never again will I eat there ?
Came here twice for breakfast. Food is very southern and incredibly good. You’re not going to find any healthy options but if you want a large hearty meal this is the place for you. Service was good even when they were busy.
Have enjoyed eating here several times now, and have never had a bad meal. Typical country type fair, choose and meat and 2-3 veggies or veggie plate, with a different specialty daily. Again never had a bad meal here and the servers have always been real pleasant. Also good value for your dollar.
