A recommander ! What User doesn't like about La Bergerie:
Répertorié dans les "tables du Lot", la menu à 33 € nous a déçu. Peut-être sommes-nous difficiles mais nous avons mangé à 'L'Ô à la bouche" à Cahors la veille et nous avons été tellement enchantés...La qualité des produits n'est pas remise en cause mais la cuisine proposée était trop classique à notre goût. Je ne parlerai que des entrées, quelques banales rondelles de tomates rouges et oranges agrémentées de quelques... View all feedback.
The hard-working and enthusiastic owners have sustained the frightening of the kovid 19 closure and in the summer of 2020, with the anti-virus protocols are of course fully operational again and we visited juli on the busy Saturday evening. The...Menus concentrates on regional food, but with maryan raks interpretation. the foie gras and the duck are always excellent. we also enjoyed rognons de veau a dish that was occasionally added to the menu. the homemade broth rolls are always good and plentiful and we love the parfait d’artagnan, made with planted and armagnac. there is a good wine list with a focus on cahors and other regional weeps. the dining room is a stylish but friendly and relaxing environment, in the old part of the hotel, with exposed stone and in winter a beautiful, comfortable log fire. on warm summer days it is possible to dine in the garden as we did during this last visit. the website for la bergerie shows that they are also caterers. we had the pleasure to be present when they provided the wee and the wee on the 14th juli 2020 in saint pierre lafeuille buffet. the buffet food was imaginative and delicious.
La Bergerie has a new owner and chef, so it was interesting to eat here. Our dinner was in mid January with a group of 40 people. We were offered a choice of 3 of everything starters, main and dessert. All were nicely presented,...correctly cooked and tasty. The wine was also a well chosen vineyard and year Haut Monplaisier 2011. Everyone was served at the same time, which was impressive for a small kitchen. Afterwards everyone was happy with the price and quality. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
We've been visiting la bergerie for years and have already checked it. I rated it 4/5 before, but that's wrong. the logic of this evaluation was that it could not be like a Michelin star restaurant in the opposite. it's not technical, but that's not the point. the question is: "is it enough what it is trying to do? " emphatic yes. we had an excellent four-course meal atuse bouche, foie gras, lamb puck with garlic sauce, rocamadour goat cheese in Filo bakery and desserts (macaron/strawberries paris brest), washed with chateau le cedre (excellent) and an interesting sect water le le cedre (excellent menu 40). the restaurant was busy. the service was attentive and the customers seemed happy. we were!
I am writing this review in English for the benefit of visitors to our region who may not be able to understand all the nuances of commentaries in French. Good points: Nicely decorated dining room with an arched ceiling; pleasant. Er, that 's it for the...good points Now the bad points. Service: disastrous. People who had arrived half an hour after us were well on their way before we had been served our main course. Three people in the salle , she who seemed to be in charge who could not give a tuppeny about anything, a surly adolescent girl who clearly thought that any request was an imposition on her private life, and a poor kid, stagiaire, who did his best to drag the whole affair back up to a decent level. The task was too onerous. Can 't blame him. When my order was taken, I asked for a glass of local Cahors. It never arrived. After three reminders, miss bad temper responded oui, oui, le Cahors It arrived towards the end of my consuming the main course. Folk were arriving and leaaving having been served whil we were totally ignored. The worst was the bill. I had declared that as I never eat desserts, I wanted just an entrée and a plat. I chose them from the menu at 39 euro, which included entree, plat, fromage, dessert. I was charged 20 euro for the entree and 25 euro for the main. So I paid 45 euro for less than the menu price of 39 euro for all four courses. It was after I had paid that I was able to check the details from the menu posted outside this rotten establishment. There it was evident that I had fallen foul of the menu la carte sacandal, which this place exploited to the full. But it was too late. I said that the worst was the bill. I lied. We both had a nauseous afternoon, with foul tastes in the mouth. Do not go there!
Can say nothing for the rooms, but eating was fab, I did not eat meat and the waiter/kitchen was very courteous and my meal was nice, even if it wasn't on the menu. the service could not be failed and I'm sorry that our waiter went. for the night before we had the chance to tap as he was great.
