We stopped by Chez Andreas for lunch on our first of four days in St-Paul-de-Vence. With its outdoor seating and commanding views of the valley, it was a natural choice...and a good one too! My husband had the baked Camembert (which was outstanding) and I had the Quiche Lorraine, which was far and away the best quiche I've ever had. It came with a wonderful salad with beautifully fresh tomatoes and was more than enou... View all feedback.
What Mervi K doesn't like about Chez Andreas:
We got cheated here. They have a different price on the wall than in the menu. They charged according to the menu price, not the wall price. They did not return the difference even though we complained. Never again. Be careful! View all feedback.
Wish I had looked at previous reviews. Popped in for a drink. One aperol spritz and a beer 20 euros. I mean really. Had a wonderful day in this village lunch etc. lovely people and then this rip off!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!
Microwaved food that was overheated to death and was smoking for 20mn. We didn 't complain or send it back, just mentioned it only after we were asked by the waiter whether everything was ok. He didn 't understand and then the manager or owner came to ask. After we mentioned the same, his reply was: Ok, perfect. Not even an apology. Just attitude and borderline insulting towards a customer. Avoid wasting your time and money to a place with terrible food and an attitude we don 't give a f..k about the customer.
I read poor reviews and was worried but I’m SO glad I didn’t listen. Amazing food. Caesar salad, ravioli, tortelli. Absolutely incredible.
Andreas has had this little Bistro for 28 year. We were last here just before lockdown in February and it was quiet. Revising in October 2021 it has only got better. Lunch menu is simple but has something for everyone. The Assiette Mixte has a delightful selection of cheese and charcuterie. The ravioli a la Daube was delicious. This either view to die for and Saint Paul de Vence which gets better by the year. We will be back as soon as we can
I live on the riviera and took my friends to the beautiful village of Saint-Paul. In the middle of august was hard to find a restaurant so we gave a go for the only one that had available space. Needless to tell anything else than just: Tourist restaurant. Ordered a Caesar salad which was everything but tasteful. A boring salad with just salad leaves, croutons and tasteless chicken slices. No caesar dressing. My advice: avoid the place if you can.
