This was a fantastic time. I wish they had a better tap list... And I've never seen a fake tap set up before! That was wild. Food was great. The kids LOVED playing on the stage too. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Dock Paddle Como Lakeside Pavilion:
We were not impressed with our fish and chips. They tasted of old grease. The fish tacos were short on the fish. Tasted mostly of cabbage. We really like the idea of eating at the Pavillion after a walk. Might give it a second try. Not sure View all feedback.
I noticed that only two pieces of fish were served, and one of them was very thin compared to the size of the fries. It was also quite dry, almost like cardboard. After the first bite, I regretted not sending it back to the kitchen. The other piece of fish was slightly better and a bit wider, but considering the price of $13, I expected more fish and better quality fish with a consistent size and cooking time. Overall, I was very disappointed!
Excellent location on Como Lake next to the historic pavilion with seating, behind next to the small waterfall or within the pavilion itself. I had the excellent fish taco and Muscato. All on the menu I had been of the highest quality, although there is nothing on the menu that you eat with cutlery. No desserts, as there is a fantastic small ice shop right next to the beach. Special thanks to Alice for her help.
I ordered the fish and chips tonight for $16, and it was quite disappointing. There were three small pieces of fish, each about 3 inches long and slightly larger than my finger. They weren't overly greasy, but they appeared to be baked, and their dark color suggested they had been left in the fryer for too long. The chips consisted of about ten small wedge-shaped potato pieces. The meal came with a small serving of tartar sauce and a packet of ketchup, but it wasn't very tasty and definitely not worth the $16. I was still hungry after finishing the fish and chips. Since I had to be at the venue for a community band performance, I ended up ordering the Cobb salad for $13, which was better than the fish and chips. Next time I visit Como Park, I’ll be bringing my own food, as I can cook much better than the staff at Dock and Paddle.
I ordered the fish chips tonight for $16. That was a disappointment. There were three small, about 3 inches, pieces of fish each slightly larger than my finger. They were not shattered, but seemed to be roasted, and their dark color suggested that they stayed in the frit too long. The chips were about 10 small sliced potato pieces. It all came with a small part of Tartar, and a pack of ketchup. Not very delicious, and definitely not worth $16. I was hungry after the fish chips. I had to be in place for a community band performance, so I ordered the Cobb salad $13). It was better than the fish and chips. I'll take my own food at the next visit to Como Park. I can cook much better than the kids at Dock and Paddle.
My daughter went with her dog so we had to eat outside. Food was good and beer was cold. Could use an outdoor furniture update. Inside is really nice, outside not so much (but great views). Prices were as expected for area. Definitely a place to experience. After lunch we went on a nice walk. Great trail system, both dog and bicycle friendly.
