Nice facilities and friendly staff I found the grading on the bouldering a bit difficult to work out (colours very similar and big overlap in difficulty next to each colour) Roped climbing was ok, but found the easy ones to be over graded, and then quite a big jump in difficulty to the next levels Not the cheapest wall, but is in a tourist area View all feedback.
What Patrick Nutton doesn't like about The Tide Climbing Centre:
Joke. We drove from Carbis Bay, for there to be a sign on the door 'closed until 4pm ', not advertised anywhere on their website or phone; opening hours shown as 9 9. Complete waste of our time, and hugely unprofessional. Very disappointed. View all feedback.
First ever visit and will be returning soon. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Brilliant experience. Give it a go!

The staff are fab if a little rushed off their feet. Facilities are good.
Cool centre. Just needs twice as many routes. Lots of blank space. Worth a visit. Nice staff.
Been here a number of times for bouldering sessions. Usually we have no issues and enjoy the climb. The last two times we have been, there have been an unsafe number of people here. Kids running around with no supervision, jumping on routes whilst people are half way through them. We were told by staff not to use the top out routes as there were too many people on them (then why let that many people in?? Such a shame because the routes are good and the staff are friendly (the majority anyway . Would have given five stars but the entrance to the car park is ridiculous, I have seen councils take better care of their roads! Although I understand that tide dont own the parking or maintain the roads, but for the price you pay you dont really want to risk the potholes and possible fines. Please instigate some form of crowd control, because queuing for a route isnt the vibe. Please also host better inductions for children, and their parents on the importance of climbing safety and etiquette. Thanks! Edit: UPDATE tried to come back today (05/08/23 pulled up and the car park was heaving. Popped my head in and there were so many people here I could barely see the walls. Dont think we will try again, such a shame given the limited number of gyms in Cornwall. Perhaps timed slots would be a more effective way to allow everyone to have an opportunity to climb.
