after some problems with the service during the aperitif on the lawn (a poor young man had to take all orders from the many guests and rushed in and out and all his colleagues waited inside without supporting him! We enjoyed a nice meal with our two girls. if the service of each of the staff improves this restaurant will go a must again. hopefully this was an evening and a morning (read my review of the hotel for bre... What Audrey Perret doesn't like about Le Restaurant de Coquillage:
we love this place! we are long time clients of this restaurant, and have enjoyed innumerable meals with friends and family here. but last october we tried for the first time their vegetarian menu, and were deeply unsatisfied. while generally the food there is extraordinary,...this menu was flat, no emotion, small portions, we ended the meal still hungry : i would therefore recommend to test the Grignotage, a display... Not always a fan of Michelin star restaurants, because they can be pretentious and try too hard, but le Coquillage is not so. The staff is relaxed, friendly and beyond professional. The food is incredible, and the place is magical. A celebration reminiscent of the beautiful things to experience on this earth. Just perfect!
Le Coquiilage was the big finale of two weeks on the Breton coast and it was more than we had expected, but above all what promises a two-star establishment, even in the Bodocks. The Relais Chateau Richeux was excellent, and its restaurant is best suited. The...Service was great, the setting, overlooking the Saint Michel Bay, was elegant and comfortable. The Carte came only with three Prix Fixe menu choices, equally tempting and expensive. The wine list was encyclopedic, also expensive, but it had some good and inexpensive wines through the glass. If you drive (how would you be here? Parking was free and comfortable. We leave it to the Michelin inspectors to evaluate the food, but we ate well and happy. It was certainly worth the trip!

The restaurant is located at the fancy hotel Chateau Richeux that has an extraordinary overlooking on the sea from its fantastic garden. The place is elegantly decorated. The staff are nice and professional. The food is just extraordinary as you expect from a 2 stars...Michellin. The chef suggests few proposals composed of various menu dégustation or you can choose “a la carte”. The wine list is is rich but you can have a good one at reasonable price. After the diner you can have a disgestif in a warm lounge. An exceptional culinary experience . NB: You have to book very early.
This is a fine dining restaurant by the great chef Roellinger. The place is very special in an old merchant house looking at the see and in a clear day you can see Mount St Michel. The food is exquisite and the english speaking staff is very well trained. Although sea food is the main food, the agneau pre sale is very special if you like lamb. They feed at the land around Mount Saint Michel in a grass that is exposed to sea water and therefore the meat is naturally salted. Really delicious.
